I’ve read dozens of articles on how to make a living through blogging, how to earn packs of dollars, how much you should expect to obtain from your writings, and so on and so forth.
What’s the point of all of them?
Like… ok, I was curious about the topic so I read them and I won’t reject any extra money, that’s for granted, but do we really need to monetize everything we do?
Writing for making money it’s like eating to share pics on Instagram.
Come on fellas.
Don’t look for more reasons to do it, you already have plenty.
If you like writing… just do it!
You don’t? Well, do something else then.
This may sound against common sense content marketing but really: what’s the point of investing time, energies and resources in something that you don’t like doing and that, probably, it won’t lead to the same results as investing the same amounts of time, energies and resources in another activity that better fits your personality and skillset?
If writing is the answer, then do it without aiming to become the next Pulitzer winner.
Money can’t be the only answer.
My two cents.
